Cascar'ones

We made five dozen cascarones this year (confetti eggs).  It would not be Easter without these.  Can't wait to break over someone's head, it's good luck.
Here are my sweet babies for Easter.  Dad took them.  I can't believe they both sat with him.  Griffin has been asking all week to go but I thought for sure Jonny would be out.  Dad may have bribed them him somehting.  Are they not the cutest!!!

Totally accident bag

This bag looks NOTHING like the pattern I started out with.  I didn't know anything about lining a bag so I used fleece lining and it didn't make the purse do what it was supposed to so I ended up with this quilted, cottage looking thing.  I really like it weirdly especially because I messed it up really bad in spots.  I learned I'm not catching on to this sewing thing as easily as I thought.  I really can't sew at all but I can hide the heck out of mistakes.  This bag is huge.  It does have pockets on the inside but otherwise it is a very deep cave.  I will keep working on my sewing though because making purses and bags and becoming great at it is my goal.  Have a great work week all!!

Purse organizer

Not sure I love this little organizer.  I just made it last night and I'm going to give it a try.  It will be perfect for all those bandaids I have to cart around for Jonny.  Going to fill it and see how it holds up.  The outside is really cute.  It is a hot pad (.97) from Walmart folded in two with baggies on the inside for storage.  I added a cute button and some more yo yo flowers for cuteness.  If it works I will whip up a few some lucky ladies I know.  It seems perfect for the big bags we carry where everything just falls to the bottom and we can never find anything.

Cinch Bag

This is the first purse I have made with my sewing machine.  It took me six hours (lesson learned it doesn't have to be done in a day).  I have been stalking this pattern forever and now I have my own.  I love the chevron black and white and the cute pink yo-yo flower.  Yo yo's remind me of my Aunt Faye (I love you!).  Hope you like my first project, there is more to come.  That cute kid you see in the one is Griffin, of course.  He needed to be included.  My little wild man!

Sweatshirt Tote

Ok, I love to find things to make things out of and I love purses and bags.  I found a tutorial for a duct tape bag which you will see in the near future (it sounds awful but they are really cute).  This tote is made from an XXL sweatshirt I got at Goodwill.  It did not turn out at all how I wanted but I actually like it better then it was supposed to turn out (does that make sense? I haven't been drinking.).  I could do this with all sorts of shirts and fabrics tons of options.  I want to add some large flowers out of the polka dot material but never enough time in the day.  I did this last night.  It took about two hours.  It won't take so long in the future because I kind of know what I'm doing. ( Not really!!!)  Take a look and see what you think.

Betsy Bracelet

I found these really cute shabby chic bracelets on Betsy Veldmans blog and fell in love.  She made a tutorial so of course I couldn't wait to make some.  Here are two that I made over the weekend.  Some of you lucky ladies may even recieve one soon.  These are made with paper beads and fabric and a few regular beads too.  My pics are not the greatest the lighter one is light blue and browns.  Super cute.  I had fun making them after I could figure out how to sew them right.  I'm a new sewer so haven't got the jist just yet.  I hope you enjoy.

Hello! This is my first post and hopefully there will be plenty to come.  I wanted to show everyone this hat that I made for my neice Amaya.  This hat almost (almost) made me never crochet again.  I do not like to measure anything so because of that I try to eyeball everything and it took me about six of these before I felt I made one that would fit her.  Now I just hope that it does.  So hopefully you will being seeing and hearing more from my on my latest craft project that I'm obsessed with.

Have a great day!
